In light of the recent national emergency declaration, please be assured that we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, and its impact within healthcare market research. In the hardest-hit international markets, we have not experienced any major impact to response rates, however, we have had increased lack of availability for healthcare professionals that are pertinent to the treatments of the virus, including pulmonology/respiratory specialists, intensivists, emergency medicine, and infectious disease specialists. We currently are experiencing the same trends within the US, and expect that to remain until further changes develop.
During this time, Face-to-Face qualitative methodologies have had the most impact of all research projects. Our plan is to continue to adhere to the guidance of our government and local authorities in regards to the continuation of this research methodology, but will ultimately act in the best interest of our respondents, staff, and clients. The health and safety of our respondents and their patients is our main goal, and at the same time, we are cognizant of your research objectives – With that, SHG recommends looking into alternative methodologies for your upcoming in-person studies during this time. We are more than happy to provide and further discuss any virtual solutions.
